Pax8 Strengthens APAC Push With the Appointment of Former Microsoft Channel Leader Sarah Bowden

As partner-led growth becomes central to how cloud and AI solutions reach customers, cloud marketplace provider Pax8 is reinforcing its Asia-Pacific strategy with a senior leadership hire focused squarely on ecosystem expansion.

Pax8 has appointed Sarah Bowden, formerly Microsoft’s Asia channel director, as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for APAC. The move signals a renewed focus on scaling partner engagement across one of the most diverse and fast-moving technology regions globally.

Bowden announced her departure from Microsoft in late 2025, reflecting on years spent working across the company’s extensive partner ecosystem. During her tenure, she collaborated with startups, independent software vendors (ISVs), telcos, cloud providers, distributors, and system integrators—helping partners unlock new opportunities and deliver outcomes for customers across Asia.

At Pax8, Bowden will lead regional sales and marketing strategy while deepening partner relationships across APAC. The company says her experience navigating complex regional markets and building high-performing teams makes her well suited to accelerate partner-led growth at scale.

Bowden will report to Lindsay Zwart, Pax8’s Executive Vice President and General Manager for APAC, who described her appointment as a strong fit for the company’s ambitions in the region. Zwart highlighted Bowden’s growth mindset, deep regional knowledge, and partner and ISV sales expertise as key drivers for Pax8’s continued expansion.

Beyond her commercial background, Bowden is also a certified ICF executive coach, known for developing leaders and scaling teams in high-growth environments. She noted that the pace of change across APAC—particularly around AI, cloud adoption, and marketplace-driven models—creates significant opportunity for partners. Pax8’s partner-first approach and cloud marketplace, she said, provide a strong foundation for accelerated growth.

The appointment comes as Pax8 continues to evolve its platform and leadership team. Earlier this year, the company named Avery Moon as Chief Technology Officer, tasking him with advancing Pax8’s product-led vision and accelerating innovation across the marketplace.

Moon reports directly to CEO Scott Chasin and is responsible for shaping the Pax8 Marketplace into what the company describes as “the new operating system for the intelligent SMB.” His background includes senior engineering and science leadership roles where he helped scale companies from product-market fit through IPO or acquisition multiple times, while building platforms used by more than one billion customers worldwide.

Moon has pointed to a broader shift underway in enterprise and SMB technology, where AI is moving beyond embedded features toward autonomous, outcome-driven systems. Pax8 sees this transition as a key inflection point—one that will redefine productivity and how partners deliver value through cloud marketplaces.

Taken together, the appointments of Bowden and Moon reflect Pax8’s strategic push to align leadership, technology, and ecosystem growth. As partners across APAC navigate AI-driven transformation and new go-to-market models, Pax8 is positioning itself as a central platform enabling that shift.
