Twilio has appointed seasoned tech leader Howard Fyffe as its new Director of Sales for Australia and New Zealand, marking a strategic move to sharpen its regional focus on AI-powered customer engagement. Fyffe steps into the role with a mandate to lead Twilio’s Communications business in A/NZ, helping brands deliver more intelligent and personalized digital interactions.
With over two decades of experience across enterprise IT, Fyffe brings deep domain knowledge in AI, automation, data infrastructure, hybrid cloud, and compliance. His career spans regional and global leadership roles at tech giants like Cisco Systems, Nutanix, Veritas, and VAST Data. Most recently, he served as Chief Revenue Officer at xAmplify, where he led the sales integration efforts following its planned merger with CSO Group—a deal that ultimately fell through.
“Throughout my career, I’ve always been passionate about using innovation to solve real customer challenges,” Fyffe said. “Twilio sits at the intersection of technology and human connection, helping organisations turn digital interactions into meaningful experiences.”
Fyffe’s appointment comes as Twilio doubles down on its regional growth strategy, focusing on both new customer acquisition and expanding existing accounts. According to Robert Woolfrey, VP of Communications for Twilio Asia Pacific and Japan, Fyffe’s leadership will be instrumental in scaling customer success.
“With his leadership, we’ll accelerate our momentum and help even more customers build smarter, AI-powered customer experiences,” Woolfrey said.
Fyffe takes the helm at a critical juncture, with Twilio aiming to solidify its platform’s value across sectors increasingly reliant on personalized, scalable communication—especially in an AI-centric market. His hire underscores Twilio’s focus on operational excellence and the strategic importance of A/NZ as a fast-evolving customer engagement hub.
