Altis Consulting has appointed Des Viranna as its new Head of Advisory, signalling a strategic push to expand its capabilities in emerging technologies, particularly generative AI. With over 25 years of experience spanning digital transformation, data, and AI, Viranna joins from Deloitte, where he served as a Partner for nearly four years.
In his new role, Viranna will lead Altis’ advisory arm as it deepens its focus on helping clients leverage AI-driven solutions to unlock business value. His roadmap includes scaling offerings in data strategy, cyber resilience, and advanced AI — with generative AI at the forefront.
According to Viranna, Altis will place strong emphasis on education and enablement, especially in helping businesses develop the critical thinking and organizational frameworks required to adopt AI responsibly and effectively.

Viranna’s resume includes key roles at DXC Technology, Microsoft, BT Financial Group, SAS, and most recently Deloitte. His appointment reflects Altis Consulting’s strategic direction as clients seek expert guidance to navigate fast-evolving data and AI landscapes.
