Sydney-based IT services provider Vectec is strengthening its focus on enterprise networking with the launch of a new business unit, Vectec Networks. The division is designed to consolidate the company’s long-standing expertise in networking and scale its capabilities across a broader range of solutions.
Vectec Networks will cover a full spectrum of services including data centre networking, SD-WAN, secure access service edge (SASE), network security, wireless networking, industrial networking, cloud networking, and network automation. According to the company, the move responds to growing client demand for simplified yet robust networking architectures in an era defined by hybrid work, cloud adoption, and escalating cyber risks.
The launch coincides with a refreshed leadership structure. Jack McEvoy, co-founder of Vectec, will continue in his role as CEO, overseeing company-wide operations. Meanwhile, fellow co-founder Michael Murphy has stepped into the role of chief revenue officer (CRO), where he will focus on client engagement, partnerships, and go-to-market execution.
To reinforce this strategic shift, Vectec has also expanded its talent pool, onboarding senior consultants, analysts, engineers, architects, and project managers. This expanded team aims to bring advisory services, network delivery, and managed services under one roof, positioning the company to deliver end-to-end outcomes for enterprise customers.
“Networks should enable businesses but often don’t—and Vectec Networks is about changing that by giving them the speed, resilience, and security they need to compete,” said McEvoy. He added that the company’s approach is rooted in building a team that “lives and breathes networking,” while aligning with the right technology partners and maintaining a client-first culture.
The creation of Vectec Networks underscores a strategic move to sharpen the company’s competitive edge in a crowded market. As enterprises look for secure, scalable, and future-ready infrastructure, Vectec is positioning itself as a trusted partner capable of cutting through the complexity of modern networks.
