HPE Appoints Rohan Cook as New South Pacific Channel Lead

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has appointed Rohan Cook as its new General Manager of Channel for the South Pacific, following the retirement of long-time channel leader Julie Barbieri earlier this month.

Based in the region, Cook will be responsible for leading HPE’s partner strategy and driving channel growth across Australia and New Zealand, with a focus on strengthening engagement and helping partners capitalise on shifting enterprise technology demands.

HPE said Cook’s appointment reinforces its ongoing investment in commercial excellence and partner enablement, as customers increasingly look to the channel for guidance around hybrid cloud, data, and infrastructure modernisation.

Cook brings more than 25 years of senior leadership experience across the global technology sector. Most recently, he served as Vice President for Asia Pacific at ExaGrid, and has previously held roles at BeeCastle, Symend, Verizon, EMC, Cisco, and IBM — giving him deep exposure to both vendor and partner ecosystems.

He succeeds Julie Barbieri, who led HPE’s channel and alliances strategy in the South Pacific since April 2020. During her tenure, Barbieri played a key role in navigating partners through significant market shifts and strengthening HPE’s regional channel footprint.

HPE South Pacific Vice President and Managing Director Chris Weber said Cook’s commercial insight and global perspective make him well-placed to guide partners through the next phase of growth.

According to Weber, Cook’s leadership will help ensure HPE’s partners remain well positioned to deliver value to customers as the technology landscape continues to evolve across Australia and New Zealand.
