Neonode strengthens executive team as Marec Gasiun joins as EVP of Sales & Marketing

When a company hits an inflection point, leadership moves matter. Sweden-based Neonode — best known for its MultiSensing computer vision and AI technology — has appointed Marec Gasiun as Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing, signalling a renewed commercial push as demand for intelligent in-vehicle systems accelerates.

Gasiun brings deep enterprise and automotive experience to the role. Before joining Neonode, he served as Vice President of Business Development at SeeReal Technologies, a deep-tech pioneer in holographic display innovation. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Global Technology Partnerships at Telia Company, where he worked closely with large-scale technology and ecosystem partners.

His career also includes a senior role at Google, where he led business development for the company’s automotive software initiatives — including commercial execution for in-vehicle platforms. That mix of telecom, enterprise tech, and automotive makes his appointment particularly strategic as the industry shifts toward AI-powered vehicle experiences.

Neonode CEO Daniel Alexus said the company is entering a defining phase. As traditional touch-based systems decline, Neonode is doubling-down on its MultiSensing driver-monitoring and computer-vision platform, which blends AI perception with real-time interaction technologies.

A major milestone came late last year when Neonode converted a previously announced design win into a full production license agreement — meaning its driver-monitoring platform is now being deployed in active commercial vehicles. That shift from pilot to production is expected to fuel additional design wins across automotive OEMs and mobility partners.

Alexus said consolidating sales and marketing under Gasiun creates a unified commercial engine to accelerate growth.

With AI-enabled vehicle intelligence now a competitive differentiator, Neonode is positioning itself not just as a technology provider — but as a strategic partner for OEMs navigating the next wave of software-defined mobility.
