Baidam Appoints Beau Hodge as Chief Executive Officer to Lead Next Phase of Growth

Leadership transitions often signal a new chapter for technology companies — especially those balancing rapid growth with a strong social mission. For Australian Indigenous technology provider Baidam, the appointment of a new chief executive marks a strategic move designed to scale the company’s cybersecurity and digital services footprint while reinforcing its commitment to social impact.

The company has officially appointed Beau Hodge as its new Chief Executive Officer, following a series of senior leadership roles within the organization over the past five years.

From Finance Leader to Chief Executive

Hodge’s leadership journey at Baidam reflects a steady progression through key operational and financial roles. He initially joined the company in 2021 as Chief Financial Officer before later stepping into the role of Chief Operating Officer.

In 2025, Hodge served as acting CEO for nine months — a period that allowed him to guide the company through a phase of expansion and operational maturity. His performance during that time ultimately led to his formal appointment as CEO in March 2026.

Based in Brisbane, Hodge brings extensive experience from the commercial investment banking sector. While the cybersecurity industry represented a new professional frontier when he joined Baidam, he describes the transition as a valuable learning experience supported by the company’s collaborative culture.

“The level of support from those around me has been generous and valuable,” Hodge said.

Now, in his permanent role as CEO, Hodge aims to accelerate Baidam’s growth while strengthening the cybersecurity posture of its clients and expanding the organization’s technological capabilities.

“I’m excited to lead the business’s growth, help strengthen cyber resilience for our customers, introduce more innovative capabilities, and expand the social impact that Baidam is known for,” he added.

Enabling Founders to Focus on Strategy and Impact

The appointment also reflects a broader leadership evolution within Baidam. Company co-founders Jack Reis and Pip Jenkinson will now focus more heavily on strategic direction, partnerships, and long-term social impact initiatives.

According to Jenkinson, Hodge’s deep familiarity with Baidam’s operations and culture made him the natural choice for the role.

“Beau’s decision to accept the CEO role is a huge gain for Baidam,” Jenkinson said. “His years of experience within the company across multiple executive positions have allowed him to transition seamlessly into the role.”

For Reis, the decision was equally aligned with Baidam’s broader mission of combining technology innovation with community empowerment.

“He was excited that we were doing exactly what we promised — actively contributing to closing the ICT career gap for Indigenous people,” Reis explained. “Our social goals were — and remain — incredibly important to him.”

Managing Rapid Growth in Australia’s Tech Sector

Baidam has been experiencing significant expansion, positioning itself among the faster-growing technology service providers in Australia. Managing this level of growth requires operational discipline and strong financial oversight — an area where Hodge’s background in investment banking and corporate finance is expected to play a critical role.

Jenkinson emphasized that Hodge’s financial expertise allows the leadership team to maintain growth momentum while ensuring the company remains strategically focused.

“Baidam is one of the fastest-growing businesses in Australia,” she said. “Managing this level of accelerated growth takes a certain level of capability.”

She added that Hodge’s steady leadership style and deep understanding of the company provide confidence to the board and leadership team.

“Because of his commitment, consistency, and knowledge of the organization, Beau is very much a safe pair of hands for Baidam,” Jenkinson said.

Balancing Technology Innovation and Social Responsibility

Beyond commercial growth, Baidam continues to position itself as a technology provider with a strong social mission — particularly through programs aimed at creating more career opportunities in the ICT sector for Indigenous communities.

Under Hodge’s leadership, the company is expected to continue expanding both its cybersecurity capabilities and its broader technology services, while ensuring that social impact remains embedded in its business strategy.

For a company like Baidam, where enterprise technology and community empowerment intersect, leadership continuity paired with strategic evolution may prove to be a defining advantage in the years ahead.
