HCLTech Secures $1.14 Billion AI Transformation Deal With Fortune Global 50 Company

Large outsourcing agreements are becoming less common as enterprises shift their technology spending toward AI-driven modernization. Against that backdrop, HCLTech has secured one of the industry’s biggest contracts of 2026.

The Indian IT services company announced a $1.14 billion agreement with an unnamed Fortune Global 50 enterprise based in Europe. The deal will see HCLTech modernize the client’s global digital workplace and enterprise network while introducing an AI-driven operating model.

The initial contract runs from July 2026 through December 2031, with an option to extend the partnership for an additional five years.

AI at the Center of Enterprise Modernization

Under the agreement, HCLTech will help redesign and manage the client’s global workplace infrastructure using AI to improve operational efficiency, network management, and employee experiences.

The contract is expected to generate approximately $230 million in annual revenue during its initial term, making it one of HCLTech’s largest active engagements.

The announcement also reflects growing demand for large-scale AI transformation projects as enterprises modernize legacy technology environments.

One of the Largest IT Services Deals This Year

The agreement stands out at a time when enterprise technology spending remains cautious.

Many organizations continue to limit discretionary IT investments while prioritizing projects tied directly to AI adoption, automation, and digital transformation.

Despite those market conditions, HCLTech has continued to secure large enterprise contracts, reinforcing its position among India’s leading global IT services providers.

Following the announcement, HCLTech shares rose nearly 6%, reflecting investor confidence in the long-term revenue opportunity.

Expanding Beyond Services

The company has also strengthened its AI portfolio through acquisitions and strategic investments.

In recent months, HCLTech completed the acquisition of Jaspersoft from Cloud Software Group, expanding its business intelligence capabilities. It has also invested in sovereign AI startup Sarvam, signaling broader ambitions across enterprise AI infrastructure.

Earlier this year, HCLTech also announced an AI-focused efficiency transformation engagement with Nestlé, further expanding its enterprise AI portfolio.

Enterprise AI Spending Continues to Grow

The latest agreement highlights how enterprise customers are increasingly committing to long-term AI transformation initiatives rather than traditional infrastructure outsourcing alone.

As organizations modernize networks, workplace platforms, and core operations, IT services providers with deep AI capabilities are becoming strategic partners for large-scale digital transformation.

For HCLTech, the $1.14 billion contract represents another major milestone as demand for enterprise AI services continues to reshape the global technology services market.
