PixVerse Surpasses $2 Billion Valuation After Raising $439 Million to Expand AI Video Platform

When generative AI first gained momentum, text and image models dominated the conversation. Today, the competition is rapidly shifting toward video generation, where startups are racing to build tools capable of producing cinematic-quality content for consumers and enterprises alike.

Singapore-based AI startup PixVerse has announced a $439 million Series C extension, pushing the company’s valuation beyond $2 billion. The funding will support global expansion, accelerate research into world models, and strengthen PixVerse’s enterprise AI offerings.

The latest extension follows the company’s initial Series C financing announced earlier this year. Investors participating in the round include Alibaba, Lollapalooza Capital, Ivy Capital, Grand Mount Capital, Eastern Bell Capital, Mirae Asset, BlueFocus, and CloudAlpha, alongside returning investors iGlobe Partners and Lion X Ventures, the venture arm backed by OCBC.

Founded in 2023 by Wang Changhu and Jaden Xie, PixVerse has quickly become one of Asia’s fastest-growing AI video companies. Before launching the startup, Wang worked on computer vision technologies at ByteDance, while Xie previously served as an executive director at investment firm Lighthouse Capital.

Expanding Beyond Consumer AI

PixVerse develops several AI models designed for different creative workflows.

Its V-Series powers consumer and API-based video generation, while the C-Series focuses on professional filmmaking and commercial production. Earlier this year, the company also introduced its R-Series world models, designed to help developers build interactive digital environments for gaming and virtual experiences.

Users can generate AI videos in resolutions of up to 4K with integrated audio, making the platform suitable for both creative professionals and everyday creators.

According to the company, PixVerse now serves more than 150 million registered users and records over 15 million monthly active users, highlighting the growing demand for AI-powered video creation.

Enterprise Expansion Becomes a Priority

While consumer adoption continues to grow, PixVerse is placing increasing emphasis on enterprise customers.

Businesses are beginning to integrate AI-generated video into marketing, employee training, advertising, education, and digital content production. The company has already established a partnership with Alibaba to deploy its video-generation capabilities across enterprise use cases.

With fresh capital, PixVerse plans to expand internationally while hiring additional AI researchers and go-to-market specialists across its offices in Singapore, Beijing, and Shanghai.

Building Better AI Through Data Labeling

Rather than focusing solely on collecting more training data, PixVerse believes its competitive advantage comes from how that data is labeled.

Co-founder Jaden Xie says the company’s experience in computer vision enables it to create more accurate datasets, helping its AI models better understand motion, objects, and visual relationships. That expertise stems in part from Wang Changhu’s previous work at ByteDance, where advanced visual understanding technologies played a significant role in powering recommendation systems.

This approach has become an important differentiator as AI companies compete to improve the quality and realism of generated video.

Competition Continues to Intensify

The AI video market has become one of the industry’s fastest-moving segments.

PixVerse now competes with companies including Runway, Luma, Midjourney, ByteDance, Kling AI, and emerging startups developing world models and next-generation video generation technologies.

As investment continues flowing into AI infrastructure and creative tools, competition is expected to accelerate across both consumer and enterprise markets.

For PixVerse, the latest funding provides additional resources to expand globally while continuing to develop AI systems capable of generating increasingly sophisticated video experiences.
