AI is changing more than the technology behind digital advertising. It is also changing how advertisers buy media, how campaigns are optimized, and how companies measure performance. As the industry moves toward more automated and data-driven advertising, PubMatic is strengthening its leadership team to keep pace with that shift.
PubMatic has appointed Megan Ramm as its new Global Chief Revenue Officer, giving her responsibility for the company’s worldwide revenue strategy and execution. Based in New York, Ramm will work across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC as PubMatic continues to expand its relationships with advertisers, agencies, publishers, and demand-side platforms.
Bringing Experience From Uber and Google
Ramm joins PubMatic from Uber Advertising, where she served as Head of Global Sales. In that role, she led a large sales organization and worked with major brands and agencies as Uber expanded its advertising business.
Her career also includes senior sales experience at Google and Snap. At Google, she spent six years working across search and programmatic advertising, while her time at Snap came during the company’s earlier growth in digital advertising. She began her media career at Forbes and Reuters.
That background gives Ramm experience across several parts of the advertising industry, from traditional media and digital platforms to large-scale advertising technology.
For PubMatic, that experience will be particularly important as advertisers increasingly expect technology platforms to do more than simply deliver advertising inventory. They want better performance, clearer measurement, and tools that can help them make faster decisions.
A Bigger Role for AI in Advertising
Ramm’s appointment comes as AI becomes a much bigger part of PubMatic’s strategy.
The company has been developing AI-powered capabilities designed to improve how digital advertising is bought and optimized. Its platform connects advertisers and agencies with publishers and other participants across the digital advertising ecosystem.
Under Ramm’s leadership, PubMatic plans to continue expanding in areas including performance advertising, connected TV, mobile apps, and agentic advertising.
Agentic advertising is an emerging area that could become increasingly important as AI agents begin handling more tasks on behalf of businesses and consumers. For advertising companies, this could eventually change how campaigns are planned, executed, and optimized.
That makes the CRO role about more than traditional sales. Ramm will also be responsible for helping customers understand how PubMatic’s technology can fit into an advertising environment that is becoming increasingly automated.
PubMatic Enters Its Next Growth Phase
The appointment also comes at a positive point for the company.
PubMatic recently reported stronger second-quarter performance, including a return to double-digit year-over-year revenue growth ahead of schedule, improved profitability, and continued momentum across its AI-focused platform and other growth areas.
CEO and Co-Founder Rajeev Goel said Ramm’s experience with advertisers and her record of building sales organizations made her the right leader to help the company capture the opportunity ahead.
Ramm also described the appointment as an important moment for both PubMatic and the wider advertising industry. Her focus will be on bringing stronger execution to the company’s commercial strategy while continuing to build relationships with advertisers and agencies.
The timing is significant. Digital advertising is becoming more competitive, while AI is raising expectations for speed, efficiency, and measurable results. Companies such as PubMatic are now competing not only on the advertising technology itself, but also on how effectively they can turn that technology into value for customers.
With Ramm taking charge of global revenue, PubMatic is looking to strengthen that connection between its technology and the businesses using it.
As AI continues to reshape digital advertising, her appointment signals that PubMatic is preparing to compete on both sides of the equation: building smarter advertising technology while strengthening the commercial relationships needed to scale it.
