Westpac Appoints Kate Dee as Chief People Officer to Drive Workplace Transformation

Westpac has named Kate Dee as its new Chief People Officer, reinforcing the bank’s commitment to strengthening its leadership team and workplace culture. Dee is set to assume the role later this year and will report directly to Westpac CEO Anthony Miller.

Dee brings extensive expertise in people and culture strategy, having held leadership roles across diverse industries. She currently serves as Chief People Officer at Bupa Asia Pacific, where she has been instrumental in shaping talent development and organizational culture.

Her career includes key positions such as:

  • General Manager, Talent at NAB
  • Executive Director, Global Organisation and Leadership Development at Time Warner in London

Originally from New Zealand, Dee is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) in the UK and holds degrees in Psychology and German from Victoria University.
