Cloudflare has announced the appointment of Pat Breen as its new Vice President for Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ), signaling a renewed focus on regional growth and customer resilience. Breen succeeds Steve Bray, who held the position until March 2025 before moving to physical security software company Verkada.
Breen officially stepped into the role last month and will oversee Cloudflare’s strategy to strengthen partnerships, expand its customer base, and enhance cybersecurity capabilities across Australia and New Zealand. His mission is to help enterprises innovate while protecting their people, networks, and data in an increasingly complex digital landscape.
“Businesses across Australia and New Zealand are under pressure to innovate while protecting their people, networks, and data. Cloudflare has an incredible opportunity to help them do both, with solutions that scale to meet today’s challenges,” Breen said.
With over 25 years of experience in the IT industry, Breen brings a strong leadership background and a proven record of driving enterprise transformation. Before joining Cloudflare, he served as Strategic Regional Sales Director at Splunk for more than three years. Prior to that, he spent nearly 18 years at NetApp, where he held senior leadership roles including Regional Director for Major Accounts, and also worked at Sun Microsystems, The Training Group, and BHP early in his career.
Goran Risticevic, Cloudflare’s Vice President and Managing Director for Asia Pacific, praised Breen’s appointment as a key step in the company’s next phase of regional expansion.
“Pat’s deep expertise and leadership in the technology sector make him well positioned to guide our next phase of growth in Australia and New Zealand,” Risticevic said. “His focus on strengthening our team, our partner ecosystem, and delivering measurable outcomes for customers will be key as we continue to scale our business.”
Cloudflare has been steadily increasing its footprint in the A/NZ region, with a focus on providing scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud and network solutions. Breen’s appointment comes at a pivotal time as organizations in the region continue to accelerate cloud adoption and invest in modern digital infrastructure.
