Specialist quality assurance and software testing consultancy Innovo has made a strategic expansion to its sales team, hiring three seasoned professionals to meet growing enterprise demand for agentic AI-driven testing solutions in Australia. The expansion comes as organisations increasingly face pressure to deliver secure, compliant, and high-performing applications amid rapid cloud platform updates and rising cybersecurity risks.
Michael Lohmann, Trevor Murray, and Sarah Cody have joined Innovo as senior sales executives and sales executive, respectively. Their combined decades of experience across sectors like banking, telecom, consulting, and enterprise technology will play a key role in driving adoption of next-gen testing capabilities tailored to enterprise needs.
“Australian enterprises are recognising that to keep pace with development, their software testing challenges require agentic AI solutions – not just more manual processes or traditional script-based automation,” said Innovo CEO Hamish Leighton.
Addressing testing complexity in cloud-first environments
The company said that demand for its services has surged, particularly from customers using enterprise platforms like SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, and Microsoft – all of which are releasing updates at a much faster pace. These rapid releases have introduced significant testing complexity and risk for organisations that rely on manual or legacy automation frameworks.
Leighton explained that many organisations are now prioritising AI-based test automation that is adaptive, privacy-aware, and scalable, particularly in regulated industries. “They want practical solutions that can provision clean test environments in minutes instead of weeks, provide realistic test data without Privacy Act violations, and enable reliable automation that adapts to changes rather than breaking every update.”
The market’s urgency is further underscored by the growing financial impact of security incidents: data breaches in Australia cost organisations over US$2 billion in the past year alone, according to industry estimates.
New hires bring strong enterprise credibility
- Michael Lohmann, formerly of Delphix, brings over 20 years of enterprise sales and leadership experience, with a focus on DevOps and data operations.
- Trevor Murray has 27 years in sales and delivery roles, including work with ANZ Bank, Telstra, and government agencies—giving him deep understanding of regulatory and security pressures.
- Sarah Cody joins from professional services firms Endava and Vention, where she advised on technology strategy and implementation for global clients.
Innovo said these additions will help it scale its go-to-market presence across enterprise verticals, including financial services, government, healthcare, and telecommunications.
“We’re seeing a mindset shift in the market,” said Leighton. “Enterprises are moving beyond endless scoping workshops. They need speed, adaptability, and trusted compliance—and that’s what agentic AI in testing can deliver.”
