Cisco Gold partner Interactive has landed a major contract to provide network hardware support to FletcherTech, the technology division of Fletcher Building, one of New Zealand’s largest publicly listed companies.
Under the agreement, Interactive will deliver end-to-end network support for switching devices across 400 sites nationwide, ensuring reliable connectivity and operational resilience for Fletcher’s diverse business units spanning building products, distribution, concrete, construction, and residential development.
As part of the deal, FletcherTech will receive 24/7 service desk support across both New Zealand and Australia, alongside guaranteed local parts availability—a critical factor for maintaining uptime in operations that rely heavily on seamless connectivity.
“Connectivity is critical to the operation of our business,” said Jason Green, Network and Unified Communications Manager at FletcherTech. “We needed a system that would support different hardware lifecycles across individual business units while ensuring minimal downtime.”
Simon Durkin, Managing Director at Interactive, emphasized how strategic provider consolidation drives operational efficiency. “Today, consolidating the number of providers you work with transforms network support, driving faster response times, streamlined management, and strategic cost savings,” Durkin explained.
The partnership between Interactive and Fletcher Building traces back to 2010, steadily evolving over time. By 2016, Interactive was already supporting FletcherTech’s Cisco network switching solutions across hundreds of sites. The new contract builds on this long-term relationship, setting the stage for further network modernization.
Looking ahead, FletcherTech plans to leverage configuration and visibility tools to strengthen security and network troubleshooting capabilities.
Interactive currently supports over 2,500 customers across industries, providing managed and professional services designed to modernize IT infrastructure and enhance operational agility.
