Kinetic IT Launches AI Engineering Division, Appoints Marcio Sete to Lead Enterprise AI Deployments

As enterprise AI adoption matures, organizations are placing greater emphasis on deploying AI into production rather than experimenting with pilot projects. Reflecting this shift, Australian technology services provider Kinetic IT has launched a dedicated AI Engineering & Platforms division and appointed Marcio Sete to lead the new business unit.

The new division is designed to help government agencies and critical infrastructure organizations integrate AI into day-to-day operations, moving beyond advisory services toward production-ready deployments.

New Division Focuses on Operational AI

The AI Engineering & Platforms division will operate within Kinetic IT’s Office of the Chief Transformation Officer and will focus on designing, building, and implementing AI solutions directly inside customer environments.

Instead of providing traditional consulting services, the company will embed experienced AI engineers alongside customer teams to support real-world implementation across complex operational systems.

Kinetic IT will initially recruit four Forward Deployed Engineers, who will work with organizations across aviation, utilities, government, and the resources sector. These industries collectively operate thousands of sites throughout Australia and often require highly secure, reliable technology environments.

Marcio Sete to Lead AI Engineering Strategy

Leading the new division is Marcio Sete, an executive with experience in AI, data, and platform engineering across large enterprises.

Sete will be responsible for building the engineering team while working closely with customers to deliver AI systems that are secure, scalable, and ready for production.

According to Sete, many organizations already understand where AI can create value. The greater challenge lies in integrating those capabilities into existing operational environments while meeting governance, security, and compliance requirements.

Supporting Government and Critical Infrastructure

Kinetic IT has long supported customers across government, defense, and critical infrastructure, sectors where technology deployments must meet strict operational and regulatory standards.

The company believes embedding engineers directly within customer teams can reduce the gap between AI strategy and implementation by allowing technical specialists to work alongside business leaders, engineers, and operational staff throughout the deployment process.

This collaborative model aims to help organizations accelerate AI adoption while ensuring new systems fit existing workflows and operational requirements.

Enterprise AI Moves Beyond Pilot Programs

The launch reflects a broader trend across the technology industry as service providers expand their AI capabilities from consulting and strategy into engineering and deployment services.

As organizations increasingly seek measurable business outcomes from artificial intelligence, demand continues to grow for partners that can integrate AI into mission-critical environments rather than simply identify potential use cases.

For sectors such as government, utilities, aviation, and natural resources, successful AI adoption depends not only on the technology itself but also on secure implementation, operational reliability, and long-term governance.

By establishing a dedicated AI engineering organization, Kinetic IT is positioning itself to support enterprises
