Laserline Appoints Alexander Arndt as Fourth Managing Director
German laser diode manufacturer Laserline has appointed Alexander Arndt as its fourth Managing Director, strengthening its executive leadership team.
Arndt joins existing managing directors Claus Narr and company founders Christoph Ullmann and Volker Krause. In his new role, he will oversee sales, marketing, applications, and IT functions.
Arndt has been with Laserline since 2018 and has held multiple leadership positions, including Assistant to Management, Manager of Digitization and Process Design, Head of Process Management and IT, and most recently Head of Sales, Marketing, and Applications. His appointment reflects the company’s focus on operational integration and digital transformation.
TRUMPF Names Maren Fleming Head of TruServices
Manufacturing technology provider TRUMPF has appointed Maren Fleming as Head of TruServices in North America.
TruServices delivers warranty programs, software solutions, training, tooling, consumables, and data-driven services for machine tool customers. Fleming will oversee after-sales technology and solution-oriented services across the region.
Fleming joined TRUMPF in 2010 and has held leadership roles in sales, marketing, order-to-cash management, and most recently as Head of Assembly. Her promotion highlights TRUMPF’s emphasis on customer lifecycle management and service excellence.
Q.ANT Appoints Kim Fischer as Vice President of Marketing and Communications
Quantum technology company Q.ANT has named Kim Fischer as Vice President of Marketing and Communications.
Fischer will lead communications with investors, customers, partners, and media while strengthening the company’s global brand presence. She brings more than 20 years of experience in corporate communications, brand strategy, and positioning advanced technologies in international markets.
Her appointment supports Q.ANT’s efforts to increase market visibility as it expands its optical computing portfolio.
SPhotonix Announces Two Senior Appointments
Optoelectronics and data storage company SPhotonix has made two key leadership appointments.
Masaaki Sakakura has joined as Principal Scientist, bringing expertise in ultrafast light-matter interaction, femtosecond laser processing, and photonic micro- and nanostructuring. He previously worked on Microsoft’s Project Silica, which focuses on 5D glass data storage.
Konstantinas Zakalskis has been appointed Head of Growth for Advanced Optics. With over 15 years of experience in optical device fabrication, Zakalskis joins from QS Lasers, where he served as Chief Sales Officer.
Together, the appointments strengthen SPhotonix’s research and commercialization capabilities.
Lumai Appoints René Bonvanie as Board Chair
Oxford-based optical computing company Lumai has appointed René Bonvanie as Chair of its Board of Directors.
Bonvanie brings more than 40 years of experience in building and scaling global technology companies. He has held leadership roles at Oracle, VERITAS, Business Objects, SAP, and Salesforce, and was the founding Chief Marketing Officer of Palo Alto Networks.
His extensive board and executive background is expected to support Lumai’s long-term growth and commercialization strategy.
SIA President and CEO John Neuffer to Retire in 2026
The Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) has announced that John Neuffer will retire as President and CEO in mid-2026, concluding an 11-year tenure.
During his leadership, Neuffer played a central role in advancing U.S. semiconductor manufacturing incentives, helping drive more than $600 billion in private investments. He also championed key trade initiatives, including the expansion of the Information Technology Agreement.
Neuffer will remain in his role until a successor is appointed to ensure a smooth leadership transition.
