NCR Atleos Names Rohan Pal as CIO to Accelerate Digital Transformation and AI-Driven Automation

As financial institutions and retailers push deeper into self-service and automation, the technology backbone behind those experiences is becoming increasingly critical. NCR Atleos is responding to that shift with a key leadership appointment aimed at strengthening its long-term technology strategy.

The company has named Rohan Pal as its new Chief Information Officer (CIO), tasking him with leading enterprise technology strategy, digital transformation initiatives, and AI-led automation efforts across the organization. The appointment reinforces Atleos’ focus on innovation, operational excellence, and scalable growth as demand for self-service financial access continues to rise globally.

Atleos CEO Tim Oliver emphasized that the CIO role was filled with long-term intent, noting the importance of aligning leadership capability with the company’s values and strategic vision. According to Oliver, Pal brings the right mix of technical depth, leadership experience, and cultural fit to guide Atleos through its next phase of growth.

Pal joins Atleos with more than 25 years of experience driving technology modernization and transformation across large, complex organizations. His background spans IT modernization, cybersecurity, cloud platforms, and digital product development—areas that are central to Atleos’ roadmap as it scales services, expands automation, and enhances reliability across its self-service financial solutions.

Most recently, Pal served as Chief Technology Officer at WillScot, where he led a company-wide redefinition of the technology vision. In that role, he applied artificial intelligence and automation to improve operational efficiency while supporting commercial performance. Prior to that, he held the role of Chief Transformation Officer at ServiceNow, working closely with enterprise customers and boards to guide large-scale digital transformation programs.

Earlier in his career, Pal held senior technology and transformation leadership roles across fintech, manufacturing, and enterprise services organizations, including Brinks, Tyco, HD Supply, and Home Depot. This cross-industry experience positions him to navigate the regulatory, security, and operational complexity inherent in financial infrastructure at scale.

Pal’s academic background reflects a blend of business strategy and deep technical expertise. He holds an MBA from Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business, a Master’s in Supply Chain Strategy from Georgia Tech, a Master’s in Computer Engineering from St. Mary’s University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Trinity University.

Commenting on his appointment, Pal described Atleos as being at a pivotal moment, with technology playing a foundational role in enabling innovation and customer value. As CIO, he will focus on accelerating digital transformation initiatives while ensuring that technology investments directly support customer outcomes and long-term growth.

The move signals Atleos’ intent to double down on AI-driven automation, resilient infrastructure, and scalable digital platforms, as financial institutions increasingly rely on self-service solutions to meet evolving customer expectations.
