Red Hat Expands Strategic Partnerships to Power AI and Hybrid Cloud Across Oracle, Google, and Meta

At its 2025 Summit in Boston, Red Hat unveiled a wide-ranging series of expanded partnerships with Oracle, Google Cloud, and Meta, designed to advance open-source, enterprise-ready AI and hybrid cloud computing.

Central to the announcement was the deepened alliance between Red Hat and Oracle to support next-gen workloads on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The partnership significantly broadens the availability of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Red Hat OpenShift across Oracle’s portfolio—including government-grade, sovereign, and distributed cloud environments.

Among the most strategic moves:

  • RHEL and OpenShift now run on OCI Roving Edge, Compute Cloud@Customer, and Oracle Private Cloud Appliance.
  • AI acceleration is enhanced with OpenShift now certified for OCI bare metal instances using NVIDIA A100 and H100 GPUs.
  • RHEL is now available on OCI Dedicated Region and Oracle Alloy, expanding the opportunity for sovereign cloud resellers.
  • Oracle is validating apps like Oracle WebLogic Server to run in containers on Red Hat OpenShift.

Unlocking the Hybrid Cloud for Regulated and AI-Intensive Workloads

These enhancements are aimed squarely at enterprises operating in highly regulated sectors such as government, defense, and healthcare. Red Hat’s platform is increasingly positioned as the common thread for secure, high-performance workloads across cloud, edge, and on-prem environments.

The announcement also complements Red Hat’s recent release of RHEL 10, which includes a fully-supported image mode—giving ISVs, OEMs, and hardware partners a container-native path to build, deploy, and manage the OS across hybrid and edge landscapes. Red Hat claims this will significantly accelerate time-to-market and reduce dev costs.

Deeper Cloud and AI Ties with Google and Meta

Red Hat also deepened its ties with Google Cloud, aligning RHEL and OpenShift with Google’s purpose-built infrastructure for enterprise AI. This includes integration with Gemma, Google’s open model family, and support for building scalable AI workloads in regulated environments.

But one of the biggest signals came from Red Hat’s collaboration with Meta, focused on bringing generative AI into enterprise production. Red Hat is now enabling Meta’s Llama 4 model family on Red Hat AI, using the vLLM inference server—a high-performance open-source tool for efficient large language model inference.

Both companies also plan to co-develop and align their open-source AI ecosystems—Llama Stack and vLLM—to provide unified frameworks for enterprise-grade GenAI workloads.

A Multi-Partner Push for AI-Native Security and Performance

Red Hat’s expanding partner web also includes F5, which has inked a deal focused on securing and deploying high-performance AI applications.

“Our partners bring critical capabilities, optimisations and expertise that allow organisations to meet the dynamic demands of AI, security and intelligent operations in the hybrid cloud,” said Stefanie Chiras, SVP of Partner Ecosystem Success at Red Hat.
